THE HISTORY OF DISC GOLF IN BRANT COUNTY AND BRANTFORD

Mohawk Park Disc Golf Course
Constructed in 2006,  the course was proposed and designed by Melissa Lancaster and Dan Dropko.
This course now sits in a well-used area of a popular city park. The old park trees ensure a round here will be played in the shade, albeit not "in the woods". All holes are par-3, mostly in the 200-300 foot range, with a few longer and a couple shorter. Follows a figure 8 pattern throughout the ancient oaks, pines and maples.

The History of the Dwayne Bereziuk Memorial Disc Golf Course.
In 2014 the course was made possible with financial support from the follow organizations and individuals.
  • County of Brant
  • Ontario Trillium Foundation
  • Dwayne and Jennifer Bereziuk
  • Dr. Robert Martinek
  • Matthew Hill
  • Paris Lions Club
  • PDGA Canada
  • Brantford Disc Golf Club
  • Ontario Disc Sport Association
There was no shortage of volunteers to help around the course. Dwayne took great pride in the course and so did the many volunteers that helped daily until the course was done in 2014.

Since 2016 the Paris Disc Golf Club now The Brant Disc Golf Club have made extensive upgrades to the Paris course. Adding extra baskets and tee pads to make the current layout at the course.

The love of disc golf made these 2 courses.
Thank you to all involved in making both of these courses.
